Where do you currently live/make a positive difference: Austria (but I have been around the world to help clients and friends)
Tell me about the difference that you are making (project/charity/event/network etc.):
For more than 20 years I have offered my business expertise to women & NGO’s to help them growing; today I create resilience methods for different target groups who have not yet been able to find solutions to their challenges. I deal mostly with traumatizes & abused people. I have also been writing books with easy, simple strategies with other experts.
Why have you chosen to make that difference – what motivated you to start that:
I have survived so much myself. I had 3 really rough patches (burn-out, highly suicidal, accident prone) where I was also in a major car accident; did terminal care and I “got a second chance”, so I changed and went my way, which I felt for years, I should go. I decided to finally listen to myself 100% - not to others!
How has doing this – changed your own life and view on the world:
Life is too precious to be unhappy, sad and upset for any second and savoring every moment. We are all blessed and get so many gifts for free - if we allow ourselves to receive it and be grateful for it! After I had the car accident which was not normal as I am a safe driver, I knew I have to change my direction of thinking, acting 100% so that I can go on in life… there is somewhere out there giving you many chances till “you get it and knowing you always have a second chance to choose!”
Why do you think this important for people to know about/do:
When I was in France, feeling highly suicidal and only thinking about killing myself, I realized that what I was feeling was not me at all! So I begun to find solutions…and once I got out of that place and that mindset, I knew that I had to help others! There is always love out there – if you would know how precious life is, your body and your time…you would choose more wisely and not fight with other ones – beloved ones at all! So it's so important for me to be there for someone else who needs it. Because we all need a helping hand now and then.
Why do you think more people don’t start up or get involved in positive things?
I think we tend to prioritize ourselves first - which is ok, we need self-love. But we also tend to 'act too busy' to help others. Instead of binge drinking on the weekend or partying etc. we could be helping others. I think we are stuck in individual mindset rather than community and we need to shift that.
If you could go out and make a positive difference for a day with someone famous – who would it be and why? 😊
It's a bit of a bold choice but probably Mr. Putin and Mata Amritanandamayi (Amma) from India – chatting about how we can find solutions for the war areas to built up houses, education and a worth-living for everybody!
